Traverse Grassen 2946m

16.06.2018

via south face and down the normal way to Sustlihütte

The south route to Grasen offers easy, protected climbing up to grade III in solid Gneis and is a perfect tour to start the season with. Due to snow coverage of the whole ascent from Sustenbrüggli to Grassenjoch in early season, you can train your cramponing skills. With 6 climbing length along, at least, 2 bolts per length and bolted anchors, you can perfectionise team rope skills and fluid climbing. Best practise round for getting into speed mountaineering or advanced skyrunning with roped climbing.
