Personal Record: 2h38min
I left Saas-Grund at the church at 7:56 and arrived at the summit cross at 10:34
Dry conditions, but lot of strong and cold wind at the upper 100 meters. I did neither carry/use crampons nor a piolet.
Report on my blog
No glacier, no climbing, no really difficulties, but a highly frequented 4000m peak. That's the reason why so many soloists choose Lagginhorn. For skyrunners it is a mountain to speed up, well-designed hiking paths from Saas-Grund lead to Weissmieshütte, all runable terrain. And even the upper rocky part requires your hands only in a few sections. Close to the top there is normally a snow field which can be icy and exposed. In middle to late season it can be avoided on the right hand side.
